It all begins with an idea. Sometimes visualized, in an idle moment of thought or spontaneous idea while throwing on the wheel.

The “Individual Collection” is heavily focused on the form and structure of an individual piece. The piece should stand on its own once finished on the wheel. The glaze application only serves to complement the form and is secondary.
Decorative Groupings

This gallery explores how pieces relate to one another through positive and negative mirroring or decorative functional connectivity. Glaze color and texture is complements the pieces.

The “Decorative Groupings” collection was created by use of three firing methods. Either by Soda, Gas or Oxidation firing. Glaze and flashing slip colors are somewhat specific to the firing process and can vary as to predictability.
