Paul Pyzdrowski

is a contemporary ceramic artist whose work explores the intersection of form, function, and movement. Each intriguing work is purposefully unique, created spontaneously on the wheel & later hand-altered into their final form. Drawing from his lifelong profession in the graphics arts, his reputation as a color specialist is reflected through thoughtful combinations of glazes and flashing slips in his work.

Embracing reductive geometries and graceful contours, his vessels convey an innate sense of organic fluidity and visual intrigue. Pyzdrowski’s odyssey in ceramics began during a pivotal weekend retreat at Adamah Studio in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, where master potter Don Hunt introduced him to the wheel. He was immediately captivated by the process using one's hands to transform a mound of clay into a beautiful work of art. He continued training through community classes before establishing a dedicated home studio. Over nearly two decades, he has refined an aesthetic that channels the chromatic and structural subtleties of the natural world, infusing every piece with an unmistakable vitality—a distinctive “Pyz-Zaz”
